Report: Coleman to join Kansas State staff
[dropcap]F[/dropcap]ormer Kansas State wide receiver Andre Coleman will return to his alma mater as receivers coach, according to a Wichita Eagle report.
Coleman replaces Michael Smith, who left to join Bret Bielema’s staff at Arkansas last month.
Since 2010, Coleman has been wide receivers coach at Youngstown State. He played with Youngstown head coach Eric Wolford at Kansas State in the early 90′s.
Coleman spent five seasons in the NFL with the San Diego Chargers, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Seattle Seahawks. He retired from professional football in 1997 and worked in private business until joining Wolford’s staff at YSU.
At K-State, Coleman amassed 3,443 all-purpose yards during a 43-game career, which ended in 1993, and also caught 95 passes for 1,556 yards and 12 touchdowns.
