MTSU completes staff with Mike Polly, announces other staff moves

Mike Polly has been hired as Middle Tennessee State’s running backs coach. Polly, a former MTSU graduate assistant, spent the past three years at Murray State where he coached offensive tackles. Brent Brock has been elevated to recruiting coordinator and a newly-created director of life skills position. Justin Watts will coach the wide receivers and turn over recruiting duties to Brock. A member of Stockstill’s first staff in 2006, Brock missed the Blue Raiders’ game vs. South Alabama last season due to health reasons but will be able to recruit off-the-field thanks to the passage of NCAA proposal 11-2.

Sheldon Cross hired at Idaho State, announces co-defensive coordinators

Idaho State coach Mike Kramer has hired Sheldon Cross as the Bengals’ outside wide receivers coach. Cross comes to Idaho State after spending the 2012 season as the H-Backs and tight ends coach at Illinois State. Prior to Illinois State, he was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at New Mexico Highlands in 2011. Cross was a graduate assistant at Washington State in 2010. Kramer also announced that Roger Cooper and Spencer Toone will serve as co-defensive coordinators this season.
