Tony Tiller (25), who played five seasons of professional football, will be Georgia State’s running backs coach.

Georgia State: Sources tell us that Tony Tiller will be promoted to the Panthers’ running backs coach. Tiller joined the GSU staff in a recruiting support role last month after serving as defensive backs coach at D-III Reinhardt in 2012. Tiller originally interviewed for Georgia State’s wide receivers job which went to Keary Colbert, but the staff liked him enough to hire him for a recruiting support role. Tiller was an FCS all-American cornerback at East Tennessee State, and played professionally between 2005-09, spending time in the NFL, AFL and CFL. Tiller replaces Thomas Brown, who left for Marshall earlier this week.

Nevada: Pat Denecke has been named graduate assistant at Nevada. Denecke will work with the defensive line. He spent the last three seasons as offensive line coach at Bethany (D-III). Denecke and Wolf Pack head coach Brian Polian are both graduates of St. Francis High School near Buffalo, N.Y.

Central Michigan: Former U. of Cincinnati and Chicago Rush (AFL) quarterback Gino Guidugli will coach wide receivers. He was a graduate assistant with the Chippewas in 2010.
