Northern Arizona (FCS): Tim Plough has been named wide receivers coach. He joins the Lumberjacks staff after a 10-year playing and coaching career at UC-Davis. Plough was the Aggies’ starting quarterback in 2007 under current NAU offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello, and started his coaching career as a volunteer assistant in 2008 season before earning a full-time role as quarterbacks coach in 2009. He started calling plays in 2011 and was also the pass-game coordinator for each of the last three seasons (2010-12).

Montana State (FCS): Daniel DePrato has been officially named tight ends coach and special teams coordinator. DePrato spent the past four seasons as wide receivers coach and special teams coordinator at Sacramento State before stepping down in February.

Georgia Military College (JC): Zach Lankford has joined the staff as offensive line coach and Troy Shaffer is the new cornerbacks coach. Lankford, who played at UAB, was tight ends coach at NAIA Reinhardt last season. Shaffer was wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator at D-III Bridgewater the past five seasons.

Northern Iowa (FCS): Former Panther wide receiver D.J. Hord has been named director of football operations. Hord was an offensive graduate assistant at UNI last season. He started his playing career at Notre Dame before transferring to Northern Iowa in 2008.
