SEC, ESPN postpone TV network announcement due to Boston tragedy

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]oday’s tragic bombings at the Boston Marathon has shifted the nation’s focus onto more important things.

Recognizing this, the SEC and ESPN have decided to postpone the announcement of their new television network which was scheduled for Tuesday.

A joint statement released today by SEC Commissioner Mike Slive and ESPN President John Skipper read:

“In light of the tragedy in Boston today, we have decided to postpone Tuesday’s SEC/ESPN press conference in Atlanta. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those affected by these horrible events.”
