Bowling Green: Mark Shook has been named interim athletics director. He replaces Greg Christopher, who announced in March that he is leaving to take over the athletics director role at Xavier. Shook, who began at BGSU in 2006, is currently the associate athletics director for compliance and student-athlete services at BGSU and will begin his new role on May 3.

Miami (Fla.): Eric Vance has been named assistant director of football operations. Vance spent six seasons as the Director of Player Development with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Vance, who played college ball at Vanderbilt, spent four seasons (1998-2001) with the Buccaneers, playing in 33 games. He also played for the Indianapolis Colts and San Diego Chargers after breaking into the league as an undrafted free agent in 1997 with the Carolina Panthers.

Northern Illinois: Christian Spears will be athletic director beginning April 15. Spears, who has been at UNI since 2009, was promoted to deputy director of athletics in August 2012. He takes over for Jeff Compher, who was named AD at East Carolina.
