Millersville (D-II): North Dakota offensive coordinator Greg Breitbach will be named head coach. Breitbach spent the past seven seasons at North Dakota. He was running backs for two seasons before being promoted to offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Prior to UND, Breitbach spent three seasons as offensive coordinator at Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Previous coaching stints include special teams coordinator and receivers coach at Lewis & Clark College (1999-2002) and assistant head coach and offensive coordinator at the University of Montana-Western (1996-1998).
Bucknell (FCS): Head coach John Susan has announced three staff additions. Linebackers and special teams coach John Bowes, defensive backs coach Eric Wicks and offensive line coach Matt Applebaum have officially joined the Bison coaching staff. Bowes spent the past five seasons as at William & Mary. Wicks, a former All-Big East player at West Virginia, spent the last three years as a graduate assistant coach at Pittsburgh. Applebaum was most recently on the Miami (Fla.) staff and spent three years working in the Washington Redskins organization.
Utah State: Former Aggie tight end Waqa Damuni has been hired as assistant athletics director for football operations. Damuni, who played at Utah State from 1996-98, spent the past five years as an associate director of academic support at Arkansas.
BYU: Geoff Martzen has been named football player personnel and on-campus recruiting coordinator. A native of Reedley, Calif., Martzen worked as a recruiting specialist at Boise State during the 2013 recruiting cycle and at Alabama in 2012.
Chadron State (D-II): Brad Smith, who has been the school’s athletic director for 26 years, has announced his retirement. Smith, who was football coach from 1987-2004, will remain as athletic director until his replacement is hired.
Georgia State: As we first reported back on March 14, Tony Tiller has been named running backs coach. The school announced the hire yesterday. Tiller was an FCS all-American cornerback at East Tennessee State, and played professionally between 2005-09, spending time in the NFL, AFL and CFL. He replaces Thomas Brown, who left for Marshall earlier this month.
Eastern Illinois (FCS): Head coach Dino Babers completed his staff with the hiring of Chanterius Brock as secondary coach. Brock, who has spent several years as an assistant and head coach in the Michigan high School ranks, was head coach at South Lake High in St. Clair Shores, Mich., last season.
