Two Fresno State players dismissed from team

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]wo Fresno State football players have been dismissed from the team.

Wide receiver Victor Dean and defensive back Davon Dunn, both juniors, were dismissed for unspecified violations of athletic department policy, Fresno State athletic director Thomas Boeh announced on Tuesday.

Dean and Dunn were teammates at San Diego’s Lincoln High School who signed with the Bulldogs in 2010.

The 6-foot-6, 209-pound Dean was the Fresno State’s fourth-leading receiver in 2012. He caught 30 passes for 389 yards and two touchdowns.

Dunn (6-0, 186), a former 4-star prospect by Rivals.com and a member of the Rivals250, made 15 tackles as a reserve defensive back last season. He also contributed on special teams.

Neither player was listed on the Fresno State two-deep following spring practice.
