Chasen Andersen, son of the first-year Wisconsin coach, signed with BYU in February but has had a change of heart and decided to play for the Badgers.
The younger Andersen will take a greyshirt this year and enroll in January.
The 6-foot, 218-pound Andersen was a 2-star inside linebacker prospect by Rivals. He originally committed to Utah State but changed his mind after his father took the Wisconsin job and signed with BYU.
Andersen tore his ACL on the first play of the first game of his senior season and will spend the time off working to rehab his knee.
“I will grey shirt this season,” Andersen tweeted. “Rehab and train in Wisconsin. I respect BYU football in every way and thank them! Enough talk about me.”
