NCAA to announce Miami sanctions on Tuesday

Nevin Shapiro (Photo: Associated Press)The NCAA is expected to finally announce sanctions related to its investigation into Miami athletics on Tuesday.

As first reported by the Miami Herald and later confirmed by multiple reports, the NCAA will release the sanctions Tuesday at 10 a.m. EST. A news conference is expected Tuesday afternoon.

The NCAA began its investigation into Nevin Shapiro’s dealings with Miami athletics two-and-a-half years ago.

The Hurricanes were ranked No. 7 in the first BCS standings released Sunday.
