Valparaiso coach Dale Carlson fired after 3-40 record

dale_carlsonValparaiso fired coach Dale Carlson, athletic director Mark LaBarbera announced Sunday.

Following Saturday’s 72-12 loss to Butler, Crusaders are 1-9 on the year and 1-6 in the Pioneer League.

Carlson, in his fourth season at Valpo, was just 3-40.

According to LaBarbera’s release, assistant head coach Mike Gravier will serve as interim coach in season finale at home against Dayton on Saturday.
