Former Washington Redskins quarterbacks coach Matt LaFleur has accepted the same position on Notre Dame’s coaching staff.
K.C. Keeler was named Sam Houston State’s football coach Thursday.
Keeler, who coached Delaware to the I-AA national championship in 2003 and reached the Football Championship Subdivision title game in 2007 and 2010, has a career record of 174-73-1.
He was fired by Delaware after going 5-6 in 2012.
Former UCLA head coach and NFL assistant Karl Dorrell is in line to become Vanderbilt’s offensive coordinator.
There is a strong possibility that Doug Williams, the Super Bowl-winning quarterback for the Washington Redskins, will rejoin the team in a front-office capacity.
Florida State linebacker coach Charles Kelly will be promoted to defensive coordinator. Defensive line coach Sal Sunseri will be given the assistant head coach title.
Sources indicate Kelly could move to the secondary, so the Noles could be looking for a linebackers coach.
Cal has hired former Cincinnati defensive coordinator Art Kaufman to run its defense.

Mississippi State and defensive coordinator Geoff Collins agreed to a two-year contract extension. Collins will make $1.2 million over the next two seasons – $575,000 next season and $625,000 in 2015.
South Alabama defensive coordinator Kevin Sherrer is expected to be announced as a new member of Georgia’s defensive staff in a yet-to-be-determined role.
The Bulldogs are rumored to be chasing Titans and former Auburn defensive line coach Tracy Rocker as well.

Frank Beamer is expected to hire former Texas and Georgia assistant Stacy Searels to fill its vacant offensive line coach position.
Duke will elevate associate head coach Scottie Montgomery to offensive coordinator in replace of now-Florida offensive coordinator Kurt Roper.
Montgomery spent three seasons as the Steelers wide receivers coach before joining David Cutcliffe’s staff last year.
