South Florida defensive end Aaron Lynch to enter NFL Draft

South Florida defensive end Aaron Lynch is making to leap to the NFL.

South Florida redshirt junior defensive end Aaron Lynch will forego his senior season of eligibility and enter the NFL Draft.The school issued a press release Tuesday that Lynch has decided to enter May’s NFL Draft.

The redshirt junior led the Bulls this season with four sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss.

“We thank Aaron for his contributions to our program over the past two years and wish him all the best in his future,” USF head coach Willie Taggart said in a statement. “We look forward to Aaron representing USF well in the NFL.”

A four-star recruit out of Island Coast High School in Cape Coral, Fla., Lynch originally signed with Notre Dame in 2011. He transferred to South Florida prior to the 2012 season, but had his request for immediate eligibility denied and sat out last season.

In his only season with the Irish, Lynch totaled 33 tackles, 14 quarterback pressures, seven tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks and a forced fumble. He was named a Freshman All-American.
