Will Muschamp’s rear end is on fire. A nasty home loss to Missouri did not help his case. See who’s getting closer to losing their job and discover who’s seat is getting cooler.
Buffalo is the latest to do a fascinating impersonation of Roberto Duran. The administration threw up its hands and screamed “no mas!” earlier in the week when Jeff Quinn was pink slipped. His heinous crime? He lost to Eastern Michigan, which is akin to having your tackle football team taken to the woodshed by the powder puff all-stars from the Thursday night Girls Football League down at St. Agnes.
We’re through seven weeks in college football. Three jobs are open, looks like three BIG 10 jobs will certainly be, and is Michigan locking in on a potential candidate?
Our rankings are simple. Who’s the most likely to get fired? That’s the only criteria we use to group them. The higher the ranking, the more likely they’ll be shown the door. Rankings are not based only on week-to-week results, they are based on what we hear from sources on the ground – and that can change based on any number of things.
Less than a month after suffering what was thought to be a season-ending injury, ULM quarterback Kolton Browning will return to the Warhawks’ starting lineup.
Browning suffered a torn quad on Sept. 28 against Tulane and was feared to be lost for the year. After a much faster-than-expect recovery, Browning received medical clearance Friday and will start today against Georgia State.
“Kolton Browning has made dramatic progress, and with the practice work that he had this week and the physician’s report this morning, I am comfortable with him being the starter in tomorrow’s game,” ULM coach Todd Berry said in a release.
Browning, the reigning Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Year, battled issues with his quad all season before the tear in loss to Tulane. At the time, Berry said that it was “doubtful” Browning would return, and sophomore Brayle Brown was inserted into the lineup.
Brown went 1-1 as starter, with ULM losing to Western Kentucky before beating Texas State on the road last week.
The Warhawks are currently 3-4 with road games against Troy, South Alabama and rival Louisiana-Lafayette and a home game against Arkansas State remaining.
